Her multidisciplinary practice includes performances and exhibitions across the country, such as Black Cathedral (2023–2026, curated by Leslie Foster, Hollywood, CA), Black Honey (2022, New Wight Gallery, Los Angeles), and interpretive dance performances at the Langston Hughes House in New York and Plaza de la Raza in East Los Angeles. From Quince Night Plaza la Raza to the Love Thyself Festival, her work continues to bridge ancestral memory with contemporary urgency.
Currently, her art centers on the metamorphosis of maíz, utilizing materials like elote, tortillas, and masa in self-portraiture to honor family legacy and resist cultural erasure. Through this process, RuthinTruth reclaims narrative, space, and connection to land in an era defined by social and political upheaval.
